I am 10 years of age and I studied Spanish in Cusco, Peru, for one month.

I studied Spanish at the Escuela Sudamericana de Español. My parents and I had different teachers. Mum and Dad were in one group, and I had one to one teaching with Rocio, my teacher.

Learning Spanish at the Escuela Sudamericana de Espanol, Cusco was:

• Fun – my teacher was young and always happy in her job as a teacher
• Cool - a great way to spend a few hours each day when you are travelling
• A good way to learn about the history and culture of Cusco and Peru because the work booklet contained lots of interesting information
• Lots of hard work – I had homework and study everyday – just like school back home in Australia
• Exciting – everyday I could speak more Spanish with the local people and children
• A good way to practise my English: I had to make sure that my grammar was correct as well as learning to spell lots of new words
• Rewarding – I received a certificate to take back to my school in Australia
• An amazing experience – one I will never forget
  

Now I am back in Australia, I am learning Spanish from another teacher who says that I am very good at speaking Spanish. That is because I had such a fantastic teacher in Cusco at the Escuela Sudamericana de Español
